My Approach


​I help women to deepen insight and increase self compassion. My goal as a therapist is to empower you to tap into your own inner strengths so you can live a life that feels the best for you. My style as a therapist is to be curious, engaged, warm and collaborative. I practice from the perspective that you are the expert on your life. I will always meet you where you are at but also gently and compassionately challenge you. Research has shown that a strong relationship between client and therapist is one of the biggest components in client improvement and therapy success. I work mindfully to build a deeply connected relationship with all my clients. This relationship is built on mutual trust, shared womanhood, humor, and non-judgment. I acknowledge that going to therapy is such a tender and vulnerable experience. To be able to share this space with a client is an honor that I take very seriously.

 

Theoretically I am a holistic practitioner and pull from multiple approaches. Specifically I pull from relational therapy, person-centered therapy, and compassionate focused therapy. All these approaches focus on understanding and healing the complexities of the self and relationships. Relational therapy emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship as a space for growth, helping clients to understand how their past and present relationships influence their current mental state. Person-centered therapy is grounded in empathy and unconditional positive regard, focusing on creating a non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their true selves and achieve personal growth and peace. Compassion focused therapy (CFT) is based on the idea that developing a compassionate mindset towards oneself and others can promote healing and resilience. By cultivating compassion, clients learn to respond to their struggles with understanding and care, rather than judgement. I have found these combined approaches create a compassionate and comprehensive framework for healing, self-awareness, and improved overall wellbeing and mental health.  

Clinical Specialty

My clinical speciality in women's mental health focuses on the unique challenges and experiences that women face through different stages of life. From navigating the pressures of relationships, family, and work, to managing reproductive health issues, trauma, or mood struggles. I offer a holistic approach that considers the whole woman including the  physical and emotional. I work with a wide range of issues connected to women. Some of the most common issues I see in therapy are: low self esteem, anxiety, PMDD, low mood connected to reproductive health disorders such as Endo and PCOS, various types of trauma, romantic relationship issues, disordered eating, and body image issues.​​

All therapy is delivered through video conferencing via zoom from the comfort of your home.

Free Consultation

This is a free no obligation 20 minute initial consultation. We will use this space to connect and get to know each other. We will chat about what you are wanting to work on in therapy, and see if we are a good fit for each other. If everything feels right then the next step would be starting our work together.

Individual Therapy

This therapy is ideal for someone who is looking to deep dive into the therapy work. What we will work on is solely dependent on each individual client. Sessions are either weekly or fortnightly. Majority of my work is either medium term or long term therapy. Medium term therapy is usually around 25 sessions, but ultimately the amount of sessions is determined by you.

Monthly Therapy

This space is ideal if you are short on time, finances, or just want to dip your toes into therapy. This monthly therapy space serves as a mental health check-in and reflective space. We will reflect on the past month and set wellbeing/mental health goals for the next month. You also have the option of increasing your therapy to fortnightly or weekly if you feel the call to in the future.​​​​

Frequently Asked Questions

When do you see clients?

I see clients Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9AM to 4PM. I also see clients 8AM to 11AM on Saturday morning.

Do you offer reduced rates?

Yep! I do offer a certain amount of reduced rate spots. Unfortunately these spots rarely become open in my practice. 

How long is each session?

Each session is 50 minutes, Occasionally I will also offer 90 minute sessions if it is a better fit for the client. This can be discussed during a consultation.

Do you offer flexible scheduling?

I offer flexi-scheduling, which is for clients who may need different times or days each session. I also offer fixed spots for those who would prefer a locked in spot. 

How much is each session?

Sessions that are during the working week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are £50. Sessions that are on Saturday morning are £60 per session.

How many sessions will I need?

This really depends on each individual and the issues that they want to work on. We will regularly check in during our work and explore progress and see where we are at. Ending will be collaborative and prepapred for.
